The first total solar eclipse visable from the U.S. since 1979 and the first to sweep the entire nation in 99 years landed on St. Cloud State’s fisrt day of classes for fall semester. Despite rain and clouds blocking the view, St. Cloud State students, faculty and staff gathered on the Atwood Mall for the 2017 Solar Eclipse viewing party with branded solar glasses, food and music.
