UTVS earned two 2019 CBI National Student Production Awards at the 2019 National Student Electronic Media Convention in St. Louis.
The St. Cloud State University student-run television station earned a third place award in the Best Hard News Reporting category for “Fire Destroys Trailer Home in St. Cloud” and first place in the Best Sportscast category for “Husky Mag”.
College Broadcasters, Inc. holds its convention each year to present the National Student Production Awards, which recognize the best in student television and radio production. Students from all over the nation compete for top honors in multiple categories that are judged by professionals in the industry.
UTVS operates on the campus of St. Cloud State University from its studios in Stewart Hall and provides local programming to more than 33,000 households in St. Cloud and surrounding areas via Spectrum Channel 180.
