ST. CLOUD TIMES — A strong will to win. High-end offensive instinct. Great leadership.
All of these attributes came quickly to St. Cloud State head coach Brett Larson’s mind when describing senior captain Jack Ahcan.
“To me, he’s the type of defenseman, as a coach, you’re always looking for,” Larson said.
Ahcan entered an exclusive club this past weekend when an assist on the game-tying goal to Easton Brodzinski against Colorado College gave Ahcan his 100th career point with the Huskies.
He’s only the third defenseman to accomplish the feat in the Division I-era for SCSU, following the footsteps of three-year teammate Jimmy Schuldt, who finished his career with 38 goals and 80 assists, good for 21st place all-time in scoring.
