ST. CLOUD TIMES – St. Cloud police say surveillance video shows missing St. Cloud State student Jesse Dady walking on the railroad bridge over the Mississippi River early Saturday and possibly falling into the river.
The video, obtained Monday, “clearly shows Dady to walk onto the railroad bridge over the Mississippi and begin walking east on the bridge deck out over the water,” according to police.
Dady walked across the bridge, but darkness and the fact that Dady was walking out of camera range make it difficult to clearly see what happened to him, according to Assistant Police Chief Jeff Oxton ’98.
About one-third of the way across the bridge there are “some indicators that Dady may have fallen at which point he is no longer able to be seen,” according to Oxton.
The “totality” of the surveillance video and all other information obtained in the investigation supports what police have previous said, that no foul play is suspected, Oxton said.
Investigators are now downplaying the significance of a vehicle seen behind Empire Apartments around the time Dady was in the area.
