Fergus Falls Daily Journal — The Tuel family is full of entrepreneurs and driven people. They would tell you they all gained their spirit, though, from Dennis Tuel Sr., who founded Shoremaster Inc. and Buffalo Pass Ranch, among many more projects in different fields. He was 79.

As a member of Bremer Bank, the National Bison Association, Ducks Unlimited and the 544 Education Foundation, he supported the Fergus Falls and outstate Minnesota communities. His immediate and extended family along with his communities always recognized his strong belief in education.
“I will always appreciate the educational and practical experience received,” Dennis Sr. wrote in his memoir. “St. Cloud State University made it possible for me to grow into adult maturity.”
St. Cloud State, which Dennis Sr. graduated from in 1959, gave him an alumni award in 2009. He also received his Ph.D. in 2007 from Kennedy Western Warren National University.
