St. Cloud Times — Each shot Tori Maish stopped seemed to be successively more important as the minutes ticked away.
It led to an 11-9 upset victory for St. Cloud Area that few may have predicted Monday night at Husky Stadium.
“It feels amazing. I don’t think we’ve ever beat Wayzata,” the St. Cloud senior goaltender Maish said.
St. Cloud Area’s win seemed to be a milestone victory, which Maish called the biggest win in the program’s six-year history.

Swanberg has had to look in non-traditional areas for someone with enough knowledge of the sport to coach the lacrosse team.
A popular resource to find that person has been the St. Cloud State campus, where it’s not uncommon to find a student with a background in the sport.
But when the coach graduates college and finds a career outside the St. Cloud area, Swanberg has to fill the void. She understands there’s a need for stability on the sideline.
