Geologist, student searching bison kill site
Kate Pound, geology professor in the Department of Atmospheric and Hydrologic Sciences, is searching the bottom of Lake Victoria, east of Alexandria, for evidence of a mass bison kills. Earth science major Jen Wyers, Minnetonka, is using the suspected bison kill-site as her senior research project.

Men’s hockey captures The Woody at North Star College Cup
No. 3 men’s Huskies Hockey (22-5-1) won the North Star College Cup in St. Paul, defeating Minnesota State Mankato Saturday and Bemidji State Sunday. Frosh forward Mikey Eyssimont (Littleton, Colorado) was named MVP at the annual tournament of Minnesota’s NCAA Division I hockey schools.

SCSUHuskies.com — The St. Cloud State University men’s hockey team (22-5-1, 12-3-1 NCHC) claimed its second tournament championship of the 2015-16 thanks to a 5-2 victory over Bemidji State University (11-11-5, 7-9-4 WCHA) on Sunday, Jan. 31 in the title game of the 2016 North Star Cup at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn.
