The president of St. Cloud State, one of Minnesota’s largest universities, wants people to consider attending classes in Plymouth if they’re looking to advance their careers or switch jobs.
President Robbyn Wacker is traveling throughout Central Minnesota this spring to share how St. Cloud State is transforming lives.
Not so many decades ago a college education was widely considered to be open only to a rare few with substantial financial or intellectual resources. But as our society and our economy evolved and changed, so did opportunities for students to pursue the education that would help to develop the ideals of hope, courage, resilience and adaptability.
The attack on last Friday at two mosques in New Zealand that killed at least 50 and wounded dozens more leaves us deeply saddened as it has echoed around the world. On behalf of St. Cloud State University, I have extended heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones affected by this unspeakable act of violence, as well as to our local Muslim community.
