While the COVID-19 pandemic prevented the St. Cloud State University Foundation from hosting its annual Gala in recognition of philanthropic support, it invited donors to pull up a chair, mix themselves a special signature cocktail or mocktail, It’s Thyme Huskies, and tune in for a special video tribute from President Robbyn Wacker and students.
The annual Foundation Gala celebrates philanthropy, the greater Foundation donor community and their contributions to advancing St. Cloud State.
Alumni and friends were encouraged to Stay Home for Homecoming for all of the Homecoming 2020 events, so all events for alumni were instead presented virtually with reunions, an institutional investment outlook, a town hall for international alumni, the Homecoming 5K, the Alumni Art Show and the annual Alumni Associations Awards Recognition events happening virtually. “It’s Thyme Huskies” Cocktail
The “It’s Thyme Huskies” Signature cocktail was created for us by our friends at Brick and Bourbon located at 119 Fifth Avenue South in St. Cloud exclusively for the 2020 Virtual Homecoming/ Foundation Gala. This signature drink is intended for our legal age Huskies. Please protect yourself and protect the pack – drink responsibly!
Ingredients:
Vodka of your favorite brand
Fresh Lime Juice
Cran-Raspberry Thyme Simple Syrup (that we will provide for you.)Instructions:
2oz Vodka or your favorite brand, or can be omitted for a mocktail
1oz Cran-Raspberry Simple Syrup
1/2oz Fresh Lime Juice
*In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine above ingredients and shake for 10-15 seconds. Strain into martini or coup glass, then add a splash of fresh cranberry juice. Option garnish is a sprig of thyme with two raspberries.
