SCSU to host 50th annual Lemonade Concert and Art Fair in 2023

The Lemonade Concert and Art Fair, one of St. Cloud State University’s best-known campus traditions and the opening of St. Cloud’s Granite City Days community-wide event, will be celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2023. The 50th annual Lemonade Concert and Art Fair is set for June 22 on the SCSU campus.

Kiehle Gallery announces ‘In the Garden With You’ exhibit

new exhibit “In the Garden With You” by Diana Behl is open in the Kiehle Gallery on the St. Cloud State University campus. The exhibit runs through March 30 and features two-dimensional work that ranges from small, poetic abstractions to elaborate hanging of serialized imagery.

The St. Cloud State Speech & Debate team took home top honors at the 40th Minnesota State Speech & Debate Championship Tournament on Feb. 17-18 held at Minnesota State University-Mankato, with senior El Julius earning the All-State Award based on overall GPA, competitive speech excellence and community service.

St. Cloud State’s Computer Science Club hosted a Global Game Jam site in ISELF on campus in early February to begin brainstorming on game designs. Fourteen participants — “jammers” — gathered with over 39,000 fellow jammers spread across 108 countries.

SCSU baseball player has an adventurous hobby: sled dog racing

St. Cloud State sophomore baseball player Ero Wallin recently competed in the 300-mile Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon, finishing in eighth place. Wallin has a family history of training and racing sled dogs. Some of his SCSU teammates made the trip to support him on Jan. 29 in Duluth.
