This year’s winner of the Gannett Foundation-Times Media Don Casey Scholarship is Alec Kasper-Olson. The Casey scholarship, named after a distinguished former executive editor, is awarded annually to a St. Cloud State mass communications student.

UTVS TV and KVSC 88.1 FM combined for 16 Sevareid Awards at the Midwest Broadcast Journalists Association banquet April 11 in Bloomington, Minnesota. The annual awards are named for Emmy- and Peabody-winning reporter, the late Eric Sevareid (1912-1992).
